I am Princess Mitsi, of Kara. I am the only daughter of a Sho lord with 6 sons. As such I have spent much of my life doing the sorts of things boys do. My mother died giving birth to me, a fact I believe my father has held against me. As men all my brothers choose the path of the warrior, and though I have spent many hours practiceing the unarmed arts with the youngest son of my father, the weapon I have come to truelly love is the Bow. When I was only eight, I badgered my brother to purchase me a shoyumi, the lesser bow, so that I might practice. Now that I have grown to be a woman, I favor the Great Yumi. This is the ancestral bow of my people, and a truely superior weapon. No one in my family ever praticed magic so I never learned any of those skills. My nannie Min Mae, was concidered something of a witch for the love potions and balms she was know to make for the amorous of Kara. From her I have learned some of the rudimentary skills of Alchemy. I have begun to experiment with various oils used on my arrow heads. The province of Kara is remote to say the least, and frought with danger. To live there is to know what danger can be. We have limited trading with the other Sho outposts in the south, and now and then a caravan will arrive from the strange lands of the Gharun'dim. A strange people to say the least and very fond of their inferior Yags.
As I write this, I prepare for my first journey abroad. The last summer Caravan from Qalabar is leaving in the morning and I intend to be making the jouney back to thier homeland with them. The guard captain, has agreed to let me sign up as a guard. Although I think he has ulterior motives he will find that I am quite capable with my bow, and my bare hands if it should come to that. Hopefully I will not have to demonstrate my martial skills on his gropeing hands.
I do not know where my travels will take me, but I believe that I was meant to venture forth and find my place in this new and mysterious place.
