Jin Lee

What is the name of your allegiance and how many members do you currently have?
No name really, just named after me, Jin Lee. 45 members

What is your current rank?
4, or Shi-Chueh

About how long have you been playing Asheron's Call?
Since day one of beta 2, although it feels like a lot longer.

What world is your allegiance on?
Frostfell

Are any (or all) of your allegiance player killers?
Yes there are, myself included. I don't know if you've been following events, but PK on Frostfell owns :P

Is it female only or co-ed? Do you have a variety of player types or are you limited to one or two types (like an all-mage allegiance)?
It's co-ed and definitely not typed. Mostly it's a group of people who have known one another since beta and have adventured and helped each other out along the way. We aren't into the big loot thing, or camping or anything like that. More into doing things together and being able to lend a helping hand if needed.

Do you allow mules to pledge in your allegiance?
Sure. Since we aren't major recruiters, rank needs to be attained however. Rank items are a nuisance, IMHO.

What do you offer your vassals and what do you expect from them?
Help, nothing more, nothing less. If they need some advice, a suggestion for a place to hunt, taxi service, a little money, corpse retrieval, it's usually a good bet that I can help them. They do the same for me and we all help each other.

Do you organize your followers according to an allegiance tree or just allow them to join and recruit at will?
I did have everyone organized for a while, but due to the dissolution of my previous monarchy (that was what left me a monarch), I took a lot of people as directs that I normally wouldn't have. It was more important to me to keep them together with friends, than worry about rank.

Does your allegiance have a history in any other games?
Nope.

Were you ever a part of another allegiance? If so, why did you choose to leave them and start your own?
The only allegiance I have ever been a part of was Kynn's allegiance. For a variety of PK related reasons, I broke allegiance from him (with no bad feelings I might add), and then he ended up dissolving his allegiance two days later anyway.

Do you recruit new members or just wait til people ask to join? If you recruit, how do you go about it?
I may recruit someday..right now it's just not a priority. Sometimes people come and ask to join with me in which case I select a patron for them and have them adventure together to see if there is a good fit.

Do you have an allegiance contract?
Nope.

Do you have a town that you consider your headquarters?
Not really. I don't particularly like being identified with one town. Arwic used to be it, but the portal storm issue got so out of hand I moved my mules and now just go wherever.

Do you primarily adventure in one geographical area or do you cover the world?
I roam all over, as do my vassals. Desert rats, mountain men, dires explorers; all are represented in my allegiance. Soo...we have knowledge of a lot of neat places.

How much maintainence do you do in order to prevent your vassals from becoming unhappy and leaving? What do you do to keep their loyalty?
None really. I just try to make sure everyone gets along and helps each other out. I try to think of the allegiance more as a place of refuge, knowledge that you can get yourself back on your feet if you run into bad luck than as a loot factory.

Do members of your allegiance regularly team up to go adventuring, especially to do some of the more difficult quests?
Definitely. A good portion of my allegiance, though not all, is comprised of the members of Vitae Rising. http://www.redrival.com/vitaerising

Would you like to see allegiance wars implemented in the game? If so, how do you think they would affect the game and how would they make it better?
I think they already are...it's just up to the players to make it happen.

Are there any allegiances that you currently have feuds with?
The Children of the First Herald must be stopped at all costs, barring that, no.

Do you have any minimum rank-required type items that you use?
Nope.

What do you think is the best thing about the allegiance system?
Hmmm...I like that you can look at someone you may have never met and know you have something in common with them. Once you get to larger numbers, it opens doors to meeting new people.

What would you change about the system if you could?
I want one thing and one thing only. I want to be able to broadcast to anyone who is downtree from me if they are online, not just my direct vassals.

Are there any in-game tools that you would like implemented in order to help you manage your allegiance?
I'd love to see a ingame messaging system for allegiances, so that monarchs and members can post messages for people to see when they login. IE: "Your monarch has left a message, read it now?

" when you login. Or for us to communicate with each other instead of via word of mouth. I suppose once there is allegiance housing, adding an ingame bulletin board probably would work well.

Do you think men and women monarchs differ? If so, in what way?
Hmm.. yes, but it's not quantifiable. For some reason, people seem to think it's cool to have a Queen. *shrug*

Do you think men and women differ in their playing style? If so, in what way?
Yes. I have never, ever, met a woman d00d.

Would you ever consider putting together a female-only monarchy? What do you think the pros and cons of it would be?
Nah, I like men too much to even think about that. I don't even really like the idea. Put too many women in any given situation and you get cat fighting.

Does your allegiance have a website?
No, and it probably won't. I really don't expect it to grow to the point where one is needed.
